This is a pic of a scene from Michael Crichton's "Jurassic Park". The chapter where the T-Rex escapes is called "The Main Road", and hence the name :). The painting is also based on the movie (the color scheme and composition are very similar).

Hope everyone likes it! :D

Very cool. Great work with just using shades of blue to colour the piece though I think that the fence posts would benefit from a bit of shading too because they look very flat compared to the rest of the piece. The T-Rex has to be the best part of this. Its brilliantly done :D

Yay! JP! I've read the books too, they have an awesome amount of story background. More than the films could ever display properly. Nice lighting, it's hard to get facial distinctions correct from that angle, I realise this is a quick sketch too. Well done.

Do or do not. There is no try.
I don't believe it.
That is why you fail.
Thanks! Yep, I'm not too happy with the way the human character (Grant) turned out :/ .Thanks for your comment! (and yeah! Jurassic Park rocks :D)

Thanks so much :D. Yes, the fence posts look a bit too flat, but I just didn't want to risk shading on them (I thought that they would look too defined or cartoony for being in the background).

You're welcome :D I can see why you don't want to risk shading the fence posts, its understandable :D

I lvoe this - the color tones and the style of painting help contribute to the overall "dark and mysterious" mood. :)
It's very dramatic :D I love how you made it look gloomy and rainy.
